Tom DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE, Monterey Office
What drew me to Clark in the first place is the firm’s incredibly entrepreneurial environment. My colleagues are young, energetic, and full of ideas. Our internal process of vetting opportunities – which follows “sandbox rules” more than boardroom procedure – allows any good idea to take root. The best ideas are carried forward by teams that form spontaneously, joined by a common passion, relentless focus, and shared sense of ownership. People at Clark care deeply about the world around them. We all work hard to better peoples’ lives by improving the built environment. I am involved in a project in Central America, called Inter-Mac, where we are bringing affordable housing and long-term financing to a vast segment of the population that has been excluded from the banking system. This will be the first time they have a chance to own a home – a dream they’ve never had before. I can’t imagine anything better than building a business where profit intersects with social benefit. |
